Amidst this drama, they are given an eviction notice from Che’s building management, which makes them homeless in New York City. Carrie wonders if she should move to a new place in the city by selling her apartment so that it will be easy for the couple to finally settle instead of living like nomads. Carrie seems to put up with a lot for him, as she believes they are both meant to be. Viewers hope the same for the two of them. She believes her relationship with Aidan is worth working on, as is everything around her.

At a dinner with Seema and her current beau, Ravi Gordi, Carrie sees a spark between them, and she is hoping Seema will break the rule for once and be in a relationship with a film director. Seema, though, disagrees with the love part, but it is obvious from the body language that she is in a relationship with Ravi, who happens to be her client as well. Seema’s subplot has been introduced just to let the viewers know of a relationship brewing between the two, even if she tries to deny the existence of fondness.

Brady And Lily Are Together

Miranda’s talk with Brady results in her realizing he is not planning to take the college applications seriously. The boy would rather work at his father’s bar than indulge in some extracurricular work that would give him extra points. Brady, just like any other youngster, is doing his thing and figuring his life out, and Miranda freaking out over it will not be of any help. The old Miranda is back, as she wants control of a lot of things. Brady’s life is the only thing she believes she can make work like she wants; otherwise, her life has gone completely haywire. Miranda requests that Charlotte ask Lily to meet Brady so that her college enthusiasm can rub off on him. This is the only option she could come up with; otherwise, she would be considered a freak mother. There is friction between all three of them.

After a few days, to her shock, she finds Lily coming out of Brady’s room, and the girl is embarrassed to see Miranda. She concludes that the two slept with each other. This incident was bound to happen the moment Miranda suggested the two kids meet. They are young, and experimentation comes easily. Miranda shares the news with Charlotte. The prude that she is, Charlotte went into denial mode, which is very typical of her. Charlotte was trying to be supportive of her daughter, but this incident is something she is unable to wrap her head around.

Lisa is just tired.

Lisa, just like her husband, is busy working on her documentary, and lately, she has been exhausted over the amount of work that has piled up on her and Herbert, thanks to his campaign. Lisa is generally known as the supermom, but this time, the same lady is having difficulty keeping her head up. Thankfully, Herbert does not make a fuss about her career, and she is honest with him about finding a way out in case she is not around. The two of them so far have personified a perfect couple who appreciate each other’s work commitments instead of either of them making a fuss about their partner having no time for the family. Even though Lisa goes over the top with her wig and jewelry, she is an exciting person to be around.

Are Carrie and Aidan Ready For The Next Big Move?

For the fundraiser at Charlotte’s home for Herbert, everything goes according to plan except that Lisa does not show up again because she is fatigued from her work. She reaches just in time to let Herbert know that she is pregnant. This could be the reason she is constantly worn out. Herbert seems to be happy, and they will have a lot of important decisions to make. Viewers think Lisa has finally hit the tired button, and this could be a chance to take a step backwards, but these words should come from her and not her husband or kids.

Charlotte and Miranda are constantly worried about Lily and Brady hooking up, and so far, they haven’t spoken to their children about the same. Charlotte was willing to talk with her daughter but couldn’t find the courage to do so. Instead of making the entire scenario about the mothers, the writers could have made them speak to their respective kids about the relationship situation. This could have allowed us to see the progressive side of Miranda. The constant worry and gossip behind their backs does not serve any purpose because there is no confirmation of the kids hooking up. Charlotte is the one who draws the line, not worrying about what Lily and Brady are up to, which is surprisingly progressive of her. Charlotte was raised in a conservative environment, and she wouldn’t want Lily to be raised that way. It could be a lesson for Miranda to let go instead of being a controlling mother.

Carrie finally decides to sell her apartment to accommodate Aidan in her life. He was open enough to introduce her to his kids, and she is reciprocating by letting go of something that has been closest to her heart for decades. She is doing this only for love, for she cannot lose Aidan over something as materialistic as her flat. She showed the new home to Miranda and Charlotte, and it seemed like she needed their validation to move forward. This is typical of Carrie: she needs the approval of her friends, something she did in the past when John was her boyfriend.

It is not problematic behavior per se, but she shouldn’t need their acceptance to move on with the man she loves. Aidan is touched by her move to purchase a brand new, bigger apartment in the city to accommodate him and the kids. This is their way of taking a step forward. Carrie was uncomfortable in the original show, with Aidan making so many changes to her current apartment. Buying a place for the two of them as a family sends a signal that she is willing to take another leap of faith with this relationship.

The ninth episode of season 2 ends with Carrie finalizing the apartment and confirming the same with Seema. And just like that Carrie is moving forward in life and not panicking over getting out of a relationship as fast as she can. Aidan and Carrie might have bigger things planned for themselves. There is a possibility of them getting married.
