The Mystery of Moksha Island is the brand-new Telugu language Disney+ Hotstar Original that explores the life led by Dr. Viswak Sen, who was a genius doctor and scientist but was notoriously known to have had many relationships. Dr. Viswak Sen has children from those relationships, making his clan a big one, but none of them were proud to be linked to him. His death brought together his dysfunctional family to his private island named “Moksha Island.” As a result, there are many from his family who are potential heirs to the pharmaceutical company and his other assets. The heirs are given the option of staying back on the island for a week, and in return they are promised a share in his INR 24,000 crore net worth.

Vicky
Nandhu, as Vicky in The Mystery of Moksha Island, is a sharpshooter who has memories from his childhood witnessing his mother’s death and separating from his sister. He is the youngest son of the deceased Dr. Viswak Sen and has been invited to Moksha Island. Unlike the others, Vicky wants to know if his sister will be among the group of people invited. Vicky’s is not keen on becoming heir to his biological father’s wealth, but to identify the greedy amongst the many that landed on the island. Vicky does not let anyone know about his job or why he is acting indifferent to the wealth he could inherit. The man is ten steps ahead and wants to find out what the rest of his family is up to.
Dr. Viswak Sen
Hindi veteran actor Ashutosh Rana is Dr. Viswak Sen, the rich patriarch who has done many despicable things in his life to become one of the most revered doctors and scientists of the country. His life is displayed through flashbacks and memories that several characters in the show have of him. Dr. Viswak Sen dies in a plane crash at the beginning of the show. None of his family members are happy on receiving the invitation to visit his island. Dr. Viswak Sen uses his knowledge of the human body to carry out illegal and immoral experiments. He did not care about the relationships he got into, which included neglecting his partners and children. Despite Dr. Viswak Sen having troubled relationships with his family, he chose to share the wealth he made, claiming he wanted to do something nice for them. Unbeknownst to him, Dr. Viswak’s ulterior motives are vicious. The family members are also not aware of the plans he has for them.
Jhansi
Priya Anand, as Jhansi, is one of those people who seems to have no connection established with Dr. Viswak. Unlike the others, who have memories of the rich businessman, Jhansi has none, and many wonder how and why she was invited to the island. Jhansi is pregnant, and she arrives with her husband, Venkat. Halfway into the show, as tragedy strikes the family, it is revealed Jhansi is a criminal lawyer, and she plans to get to the bottom of the crime that has taken place on the island. She is intelligent and is quick to pick up on cues about others around her, especially Vicky. This helped her find out Vicky is a sharpshooter, a secret he kept to himself on reaching the island.
Maya
Akshara Gowda is Maya, Dr. Viswak Sen’s latest mistress, who is overseeing the entire property on Moksha Island until an heir is chosen. Maya is a beautiful woman, and there is a general idea of how she seduced Dr. Viswak. Maya seems to have been brainwashed by the man she is in love to believe his ideals of living to be true. Maya is a sultry woman who has not stopped trying to seduce Vicky ever since his arrival on the island. Maya has been working as per the instructions of the deceased Dr. Viswak Sen, and halfway into the show, she is able to control the extended family without causing any major chaos.
Aakash
Roshan Kanakala, as Aakash, is the only son of Ajay. Ajay is the oldest son of Dr. Viswak from his first marriage. While facing a lot of issues thanks to his eccentric father, he turned out to be a control freak parent figure himself. Aakash, from the start of the show, chooses to keep to himself and keeps sending voice notes to someone he has been obsessing over. Aakash has been a victim of his abusive father, who physically and verbally mistreated him since childhood. This harassment led to him being an introverted child who never mingled with anyone, including his cousins. Even though some of his cousins did show interest in him, it is soon revealed he is not interested in women at all. This revelation made things worse for the young boy, as his family, including his father, chose to shame him instead of accepting him.
Isha
Tejaswi, as Isha, is the youngest daughter of Vijay. Vijay is Dr. Viswak Sen’s son from his first marriage. Isha is open about her interest in men and her sexuality. She is attracted to her cousin Aakash and hopes to have a fling with him. Isha considers herself to be beautiful and forward-thinking; Aakash pushes her away for reasons that are private for him. Isha is a mischievous person as well, whose prank goes out of hand, which leads to a chain of events that includes Aakash and his father having a falling out. Isha soon comes to terms with the gravity of the matter on the island and becomes a helping hand when family members begin to disappear one by one.
Meena
Veteran actress Sudha is Meena, the first wife of Dr. Viswak Sen. Meena was a nurse with the hospital Dr. Viswak worked with, which is where they met, courted, and got married. She was not ready to witness the evil side of her husband, who began to carry out experiments on people not long after. Meena was quick to learn her husband was the devil and would not stop at anything. With no emotional support after her marriage to him, she chose to leave Dr. Viswak for his colleague. Meena is the only person who has seen Dr. Viswak functioning from up close, and years later, she is not happy to see the invite requesting her to visit Moksha Island. Meena’s fears come true as nothing goes to plan, as a few people disappear and others are found dead.
Aditi
Veteran actress Sonia Agarwal is Aditi, the stepdaughter of Dr. Viswak Sen. She has a daughter and a suicidal brother to take care of as she journeys to Moksha Island. Aditi catches the attention of a rowdy named Munna, but she chooses to keep him at bay. Aditi soon revealed her widowed mother had been married off to Dr. Viswak Sen. Aditi is a witness to how her stepfather took charge of the company by eliminating her mother and keeping herself and her brother away from the business. Just like everyone else, Aditi does not trust Dr. Viswak’s plan for distributing the wealth, as she claims the man would do anything to prioritize accumulating wealth for himself so he could carry out loathsome experiments on people.
Venkat
Samrat, as Venkat, is Jhansi’s husband, who is the epitome of a good partner. He takes care of Jhansi as she is in the last few months of pregnancy. As Jhansi states, he has been a blessing in disguise and goes out of his way to help her navigate on the island as the first tragedy strikes them. Everyone on the island adores him, and there is a sense of respect everyone carries for him. Unlike Jhansi, Venkat is the calmer one, and one could see why she married him.
