Pill, the new TV series streaming on Jio Cinema, shows us the dark side of the medical world. This show reveals the harsh reality of corruption in healthcare, where hospitals meant to heal people sometimes become centers of crime. In Pill, we see doctors, nurses, and medical reps getting involved in shady business. They conduct fake drug trials and allow dangerous medicines to be launched on the market, all for the sake of money. Rich pharmaceutical companies bribe them with huge sums of money and expensive gifts to buy their silence. It’s shocking to see how some people prioritize their personal gain over the well-being of patients, which leads to side effects and even death for those who trust them. But Pill also showcases the courageous people who choose integrity and morality over money. These characters remind us that not everyone is corrupt, and there are still people fighting for what’s right. If you’re interested in finding out what happened to these characters, then let’s dive into the cast and character guide for this series.

Spoilers Ahead

Prakash Chauhan

Prakash Chauhan, played by Riteish Deshmukh, is the real hero of the series Pill. Calling him a hero isn’t an exaggeration at all because of the incredible things he did. Prakash was living a simple, middle-class life with his government job as a doctor. Things were pretty peaceful until he got a promotion and was sent to Ghaziabad as a medical controller at the Medical Authority of India. Everything changed when he discovered the fake drug trials happening right under everyone’s noses at the organization. It shocked him to see how people were turning a blind eye to it. He took this matter seriously when he saw how ordinary folks were losing their eyesight or even their lives because of the shady dealings of a company called Forever Cure Pharma. This company wouldn’t allow inspections and had a history of harmful medicines. When he brought this matter to his seniors, even they warned him to back off, which showed just how low some people could stoop, practically becoming the company’s lapdogs. But then Prakash teamed up with Health Inspector Gursimran and investigative journalist Noor. Together, they decided to gather enough evidence and take this issue to court to bring the corrupt institution down and protect people’s lives. We see how throughout the series Prakash faced threats, bribe offers, and all sorts of pressure, but none of that made a difference. His moral compass and honesty kept him focused on justice. Saving lives was more important to Prakash than proving to his wife that he could be a rich doctor. Even though he ended up being suspended and banned from the hospital because of the Forever Cure Pharma scam, he kept fighting for justice. In the end, after a long struggle, he won his battle and got his old job back. Sure, he might continue driving his old car, but that’s way more peaceful than getting caught up in corrupt business practices; at least that’s what Prakash thought. He found peace in staying true to himself.

Gursimran

Gursimran, played by Anshul Chauhan, is the health inspector who plays a crucial role in Pill. When she first went to inspect Forever Cure Pharma, she quickly realized something was off. Her team and she were denied entry because they didn’t give prior notice, even though surprise visits are pretty standard practice for inspections. Things got even fishier when she saw a man running with a confidential file and trying to hide something important—most likely information about the fake drug trials. When she asked to see the CCTV footage, they claimed the cameras were broken. All these signs proved just how corrupt the company was. Gursimran tried to report these issues to her seniors multiple times, but they didn’t care. Then Prakash Chauhan came along and became the savior she needed. Together, they fought for justice. They conducted drug tests to prove that Forever Cure Pharma’s medicines were not only ineffective but also very harmful. Gursimran, like Prakash, ended up losing her job temporarily for defaming the company. It was tough for her, especially being the only daughter of her father and having no mother. But she didn’t lose hope. She and Prakash kept pushing for the truth, and eventually, they won the battle.

Noor

Noor, played by Akshat Chauhan, started his career in the series as a celebrity journalist and paparazzi photographer. But that didn’t give him the thrill he was looking for. He always dreamed of doing more—of becoming an investigative journalist. One day, his dream unexpectedly became a reality when he found a confidential file about fake drug trials for the company Forever Cure Pharma in a dumpster. At first, he didn’t think much of it, but then he saw that one of the medicines mentioned in the file was the reason his mother had died. Investigating this case became personal for him. Noor went from one doctor to another to try to get information about the company and their medicines. But no one was willing to talk. His persistent questioning eventually got him beaten up by the company’s thugs as a warning. Instead of being scared off, Noor decided to expose Forever Cure Pharma’s corruption on social media. He joined forces with Prakash and Gursimran because he had nothing to lose. Noor tirelessly gathered evidence by going to slum areas and interviewing people about their experiences with Forever Cure Pharma’s medicines. He was determined to bring justice not only for all the people who suffered but also for his late mother.

Ashish Khanna

Ashish Khanna, the head microbiologist at Forever Cure Pharma, is a true example of courage and honesty. He knew about the fake drug trials and harmful medicines the company was pushing to make money. Ashish tried to speak up, but the higher-ups always shut him down. Ashish’s persistence in seeking justice, despite personal risk, highlights his dedication to ethical practices. When people started dying from these drugs, the company got scared and framed Ashish for leaking secrets to a rival company. They fired him and made him sign a non-disclosure agreement, which pushed him into depression. Despite his struggles, Ashish’s bravery shone through when Prakash asked for his help. Ashish and his wife, determined to bring the truth to light, took big risks. Even after a dangerous accident, Ashish survived and continued to fight for justice. They found crucial evidence about the company on a pen drive, which he cleverly hid in his grandmother’s pendant as he planned to expose the company. His story shows how standing up for what’s right can make a big difference.

Brahma Gill

Brahma Gill, played by Pawan Malhotra, is the CEO of the corrupt company, Forever Cure Pharma. He’s a proud man who believes that money can buy anything. Brahma is all about launching harmful medicines, faking drug trials, and bribing doctors, politicians, and even high-up government officials to get his products on the market and get rich. He thought he could keep doing this without anyone noticing. But then Prakash, Ashish, and others started fighting back. They exposed the company’s shady practices, leading to all his medicines being pulled from the market. This caused a huge loss for Brahma, and he eventually got arrested for risking people’s lives for his own profit. His downfall shows that no matter how powerful you think you are, justice will catch up with you.

Dr. Basudev Natarajan

Dr. Basudev Natarajan, played by Baharul Islam, shows us how money can tempt even good people to do wrong things out of greed. He used to be an honest government doctor until he left his job and joined the private firm, Forever Cure Pharma. He knew about all the unfairness and fake drug trials but chose to stay silent because he preferred a luxurious life over doing what was right. He even tried to bribe Prakash and played a role in Ashish losing his job. But eventually, karma caught up with him, and he was arrested.
