If you’ve been closely following all the twists and turns in Netflix’s new telenovela, KLASS 95: The Power of Beauty, from the beginning, you probably felt the same as me, while it shines in moments of glitz and glamor in the modeling world created by Shaio Domínguez and her sisters, it does get mundane at times. There were points where you just wanted it to end, and if you were holding on until the end, you’re likely going to be disappointed. Personally, the only thing that kept me going was wanting to figure out why Kelly and the Colonel were so determined to kill Oscar and Juanita. Then, we find out that Oscar was actually writing everything that had happened from the beginning of the agency named “KLASS 95” to document the lives of all the people involved with Shaio Domínguez’s modeling institution, especially the drama between the two sisters, Kelly and Andrea Vanessa. But the big reveal was kind of underwhelming. Kelly didn’t want Oscar to publish the book because it would expose everything — how she tried to kill her husband, Hollman, how she teamed up with the notorious conman Edgar for money and fame, and how she was willing to do anything to be the top model at the agency and outshine her sister. So, she was desperate to stop Oscar to the point of being willing to kill him. What didn’t make sense to me, though, is how Kelly and the Colonel, who were supposed to be enemies (remember, he was on Hollman’s side and even wanted to kidnap Kelly at one point), suddenly teamed up to kill Juanita and Oscar. We never got a clear explanation for that, and honestly, it felt like the one thing that could have kept the show interesting. Without it, the whole plot felt a bit lost. KLASS 95 ends on a pretty unsatisfying note, which leaves us with a cliffhanger that doesn’t really resolve anything, and it just felt pointless after all that buildup. Anyway, here’s a recap of how things wrapped up in episode 24. Hopefully, this clears up the messy ending for you!

What happened between Berny and Shaio?
Throughout the entire drama, we see how Berny and Shaio were madly in love and wanted to run away together on Shaio’s wedding day. But the problem was that Shaio’s father had already discovered their secret relationship and he didn’t want to jeopardize Shaio’s future by letting her marry a “simple” gym trainer like Berny rather than the rich businessman, Nico. So, to make sure nothing went wrong, Shaio’s father threatened Berny and warned him not to show up at the wedding or try to take his daughter away. Given her father’s health as he was battling cancer, and how serious he was about Shaio’s marriage, Berny didn’t want to mess things up for them. Shaio, though, hoped that Berny would still come, but that didn’t happen, and for the sake of her father’s happiness, she went ahead and married Nico, even though she didn’t want to. After the marriage, Shaio tried to be a good wife to Nico, but deep down, she couldn’t, because her heart was still with Berny. When Shaio found out that Berny was now with Andrea Vanessa, the agency’s top model, and they’d even gone on vacation together to cool things off, she realized she had truly lost him. She knew she could never have Berny again, all because she hadn’t stood up for what she really wanted, and gave in to her family’s wishes. Later on, even though Shaio was heartbroken, she went ahead with a calendar shoot for the agency in Cancún, where she had to work with Andrea as the top model.
Despite not wanting to, Shaio put her feelings aside and made it happen and turned her honeymoon with Nico into a business trip. The shoot was a success, but the most intense part of the trip wasn’t the shoot itself—it was when Shaio and Berny had a heartfelt conversation where Berny admitted he still loved her and would always be there for her, which only made things more complicated. But just as Shaio’s honeymoon ended and they came back from the shoot, Andrea’s mother and aunt noticed Andrea had started eating a lot and was constantly vomiting. It didn’t take long to figure out she was pregnant, that too with Berny’s child! You can imagine what Shaio’s mental state was, hearing that news; she was devastated. She thought Berny and Andrea were just having a fling and that Berny would eventually come back to her. But now that Andrea was pregnant, Shaio knew Berny wouldn’t leave her. And she was right, Berny was ready to take responsibility for the child. Unlike Shaio, who always found herself stuck between family duties and her desires, Berny wasn’t the type to run from his responsibilities, and he wouldn’t let others decide his fate. But does that mean his and Shaio’s romantic relationship is over for good? Who knows? Only time will tell.
What happened to Brian?
As I mentioned earlier, Kelly was desperate for fame and wanted to be the best model in the agency, but when she saw her sister Andrea becoming the top model at KLASS 95, Kelly realized she didn’t have much of a chance there anymore. So, she started to dream higher and wanted to work for an international brand and move to the USA. But her English wasn’t great, and she had issues with her passport and visa. That’s when the conman, Edgar, promised Kelly all the luxury she could dream of and helped her with her English, but there was a catch – she had to be his exclusive lover and not be involved with anyone else. Kelly agreed, but deep down she knew she had to look out for herself too. She also knew Edgar was a criminal, a murderer, and a money launderer, but that he pretended to be an interior designer, and for this, the US State Department denied his visa because of his shady history. As Kelly started getting closer to Brian, a US consulate officer who worked in the visa office, she realized this could be her way out. If she could form a romantic relationship with Brian, not only would he help her with her English, but she could escape to the USA with a visa and get far away from her past with Edgar, Hollman, or KLASS 95. However, Edgar wasn’t clueless, as he’d found out about her secret meetings with Brian and swore he would kill Brian and to take revenge Edgar forced himself on Kelly. Therefore, Kelly realized she was in danger, and that’s why she wanted to get rid of Edgar before he could harm her or Brian anymore. But before she could deal with that, she needed to clear her visa interview. She had already gotten her passport, and with Brian helping her in secret, she thought she was a step ahead. The problem? Edgar was also one step ahead of her. He arranged for Brian to be taken out of the picture. On the day of the visa interview, Brian was sedated by a couple Edgar had planted by the roadside, and then he was kidnapped by Edgar.
By the end of KLASS 95 season 1, it really did seem like Kelly’s plan to escape was falling apart, but if you think about it, this could actually be a blessing in disguise because her main competition had always been her sister Andrea, and now that Andrea is pregnant, there’s a chance Kelly could take her place and become the next top model of KLASS 95. As for Brian, he had crossed Edgar after all, so it wouldn’t be surprising if Brian ended up dead too in Edgar’s hand. And for Shaio, we can only hope she finally moves on from Berny because by now, it’s clear that this relationship is only going to bring her nothing but heartache, so, it’s better for her to find peace with herself and let go.
