‘Kite-Man: Hell Yeah’ Episode 3 Recap And Spoilers: Did Golden Glider Agree To Move In With Kite-Man?

After starting off the journey with the first two gnarly, funny, raunchy episodes, which set the premise and the stakes pretty well, Max’s Kite-Man: Hell Yeah takes an introspective approach with its lead duo in its third episode, “Villigan’s Hell Yeah.” Previously, the baddie power couple Kite-Man and Golden Glider had purchased Noonan’s bar and began an effort to make an honest living, only for Lex Luthor to secretly hide the Anti-Life Equation inside the bar, given the fact that the place is less likely to be searched by caped heroes. During the reopening of the bar, Chuck and Lisa recruited Darkseid’ goddaughter Malice Vundabar as a server, whose demon cat Chessure caused mayhem across Gotham City—which surprisingly increased the bar’s reputation and drew a flock of new customers. Darkseid had arrived to check on Malice’s progress as well, being unaware of the fact that his most coveted instrument of multiversal subjugation is lying inside the bar’s inventory.

Kite-Man’s Defeatist Mentality Causes Trouble in Paradise

The episode begins with a hilarious scene as Kite-Man (Chuck) and Glider (Lisa) try to get frisky in the Noonan’s bar storage room while roleplaying, only to get interrupted by the pervy pathetic regular customer of the bar, Six-Pack, who was eavesdropping on them all along. After kicking the clown out, the lovebirds resume getting busy.

However, the smooth sailing relationship of the duo hit a bump when, while working at the reception and searching for cocktail recipes, Chuck finds Lisa’s relationship goal list on her laptop, where she had made mention of a specific time period to test the commitment of her loved one. According to the list, if she hadn’t moved in with her partner within fourteen months of the relationship, it should be considered a red flag and a sure-shot sign she should dump the person. Chuck gets nervous as he hasn’t invited Lisa to move in yet and fears getting dumped by her, and aside from Bane, who suggests he discuss the situation with Lisa openly, the rest of the present customers—Queen of Fables, Dubelz, Gus, and even Malice—scare him about the repercussions, making his plight even more worrisome. Lisa arrives and feels ashamed after seeing that Chuck has already gone through her stupid checklist, and as Chuck tries to manage the situation by proposing her to move in with her, she avoids the conversation entirely.

Kite-Man’s extremely defeatist mentality always makes him feel insignificant compared to his much more popular and successful partners; this was true during his relationship with Ivy, and his relationship with Golden Glider has started being affected by it as well. There is no lack of dedication on his part, but the fact that he drags himself down in the slightest relationship problems is something that curbs his already lowered confidence. The patrons of the bar fuel his insecurities even further by mentioning that Lisa is way out of Chuck’s league.

Corporate Competition

Additionally, as a new outlet of the massively popular pub chain, Villigan’s opens right across the street from Noonan’s bar, taking all the regular customers away in an instant—much to Chuck and Lisa’s dismay. To butter up their rival bar owners, Villigan’s management even sends a gift hamper and free spa coupons, and to avoid an uncomfortable conversation with Chuck, Lisa decides to check out the spa with Malice and Queen of Fables. Chuck is flabbergasted when Sean Noonan, the former owner of the bar, suggests winning Lisa’s heart by handling the Villigan’s situation once and for all.

Chuck goes to Villigan’s and marvels at the brilliantly decorated villain-themed pub, and after returning, starts whining more about his apparent worthlessness. Sean suggests he kill the manager of the pub, and Kite-Man meets Babydoll, who is the current manager of the outlet. Fans who remember the Batman the Animated Series episode Baby-Doll will easily recognize the iconic supervillain. Babydoll threatens Kite-Man she’ll eliminate Villigan’s competition entirely by ending Noonan’s bar.

Did Golden Glider Agree To Move In With Kite-Man?

On the other hand, while spending time with Queen of Fables and Malice inside Villigan’s spa, Lisa comes clean about the true reason she has been avoiding Chuck. When Lisa goes into an emotionally turbulent state, she loses control over her destructive powers, and she feels that if Chuck comes closer to her, he will perish. All of a sudden, the team of masseuses starts acting deranged and attacks the trio, and Lisa realizes that Villigan is quite serious about literally eliminating the competition. She starts killing the attackers left and right with Malice and Queen of Fables’ help and confesses her feelings about Chuck. Babydoll acknowledges her role as the perp and tries to manipulate Glider’s mind by trying to convince her that Chuck has been killed. In her anguish, Lisa goes into her uncontrollable, overpowered state and butchers the entire horde of villainous masseuses by herself.

On the other hand, Kite-Man realizes that the gift hamper they had received from Villigans had a bug fitted into it and is shocked to learn that it is also rigged with bombs, which are primed to explode any second now. Chuck throws it across the street into the entrance of Villigan’s, which results in its destruction, and a furious Babydoll tries to cripple Chuck emotionally by telling him Glider has died. Chuck is distraught and returns to Noonan’s bar in a miserable state, only to be eventually reunited with Lisa, and the duo are relieved to see each other safe and sound. Lisa reconciles with her fears, stating that she’d rather see Chuck dead than be with someone else, and proposes moving in together, much to Chuck’s delight. Furthermore, after Villigan’s gets trashed, Noonan’s old customers return to the bar, along with Bane, who had changed his workplace as well. It is revealed that after being misled by Babydoll, in his anger he had beaten the ever-living stuffing out of Babydoll, attracting huge social media uproar for beating a child (even though Babydoll only looks like a child; she is 47 years old), which helped him gain massive street cred as a villain as well.
