Spoilers Ahead

Where Has Tabitha Ended Up?

Waking up in the hospital, Tabitha is overwhelmed by a feeling of disbelief and confusion when a medical professional present at her room, Dr. Brodie, tries to ease her mind by assuring her that she is safe. Dr. Brodie reveals to Tabitha that she is in St. Anthony’s hospital in Camden, Maine, and questions Tabitha about whatever had happened to her erstwhile, given the fact her torn attire and bruised face paint a troubling picture. Tabitha isn’t able to answer, as a deep sense of regret dawns upon her the moment she realizes that she has been able to escape the hellhole of a town, while her family hasn’t been able to. Dr. Brodie informs her that the cops have been informed and they will be arriving soon for a customary questioning, which immediately alarms Tabitha. The Matthews family has been missing for quite a while, and the moment Tabitha is identified by the police, she will have to face a barrage of questions, the answers to which are unknown to her. Additionally, if she reveals the truth of her experience, she will be labeled as a lunatic, which is why she cannot afford to face the cops.

Changing into her clothes and taking her belongings—Victory’s trunk—in which he had packed some snacks for Tabitha had given her before leaving, Tabitha sneaks out of the hospital and starts walking through the streets of Camden. Seeing the outside world after spending so long in the nightmarish town is comforting for her, as it is a welcome change in scenery for the viewers as well. All of a sudden, Tabitha spots the Boy in White waving his hand at her from the crowd, and she at once decides to chase him only to realize she had mistaken someone else for him. This raises the question of whether it was a mere figment of Tabitha’s imagination stemming from her anxious and stressed mind ; or is she really trapped in a higher form of simulation that is based on Camden, Maine?

How Did Tabitha Learn About Victor’s Address?

After wandering around for a while, Tabitha requests a couple of teenagers to let her make a call, and one of them begrudgingly agrees—Tabitha’s appearance has led them to believe she’s a homeless person, which explains the behavior. Tabitha calls her mother and breathes a sigh of relief after talking with her after what seems to be a lifetime. Speaking with her family probably allows Tabitha to believe that the world she is in is real, and an emotional reunion follows over the phone. However, when Tabitha’s mother reveals that the cops are searching for her family, she promptly asks her mother not to reveal to them the conversation they just had. She also lies to her mother, assuring her that the family is doing well, but they cannot speak with her at the moment. Somehow convincing her mother to keep their conversation a secret, Tabitha hangs up and once again feels guilty for having to blatantly lie to her about the situation. She decides to visit a church nearby to confess and find some comfort by sharing her emotional burden.

Tabitha isn’t sure what to confess to the priest, as the nature of her experience is so otherworldly that she fears being considered someone who has lost her mental faculties. Still, when the priest encourages her by speaking about God’s benediction, she quickly retorts, mentioning there can’t exist a nightmarish place like the town from which she escaped if God’s presence is real. Her guilt about Thomas’ death starts surfacing as well, when Tabitha decides to leave the church. The priest stops her and tries to make her feel comfortable by asking her to share whatever is troubling her. Tabitha mentions the town in an indirect way, and as the conversation moves towards Victor’s box she has been carrying with her—and as Tabitha decides to open and check the contents of the trunk upon the priest’s request, she finds Victor’s address written inside. And surprisingly enough, the address is located in Maine!

What Can Tabitha Learn About Fromville From Victor’s Father?

Tabitha thanks the priest for unwittingly helping her to discover such an important piece of information and rushes outside to find Victor’s home. Finally, she arrives at the doorstep of the Kavanaugh household, and soon enough, Victor’s father returns to his home. Seeing Tabitha, he too mistakes her for a homeless person initially, promptly asking her to leave—but seeing Victor’s trunk with her, he is at once shocked and questions Tabitha about it. Tabitha realizes that she is facing Victor’s father, and there are a number of possibilities the series can explore from this point onwards.

Victor’s mother, Miranda, and his sister, Eloise, were trapped in Fromville along with him back in the day, and it seems Victor’s father has seemingly spent a lifetime looking for his family. Miranda’s fate remains unknown, but it seems that she probably passed away in a monster attack during the previous cycle, while Eloise’s whereabouts remain a mystery—and understandably, seeing something that connects to his family after so many decades will be surprising for Victor’s father. The fact that Tabitha ended up in Maine after escaping Fromville, in the same town where the Kavanaugh residence is located, seems to be no coincidence as well. There is another hint shared in the episode, when Ethan is seen arranging a puzzle, and the set indicates it’s a picture of the waterfront of Stonington, Maine. This leads us viewers to speculate what kind of connection Victor’s family shares with Fromville in the first place. As initially assumed, is there a possibility that Victor’s imagination has manifested to create an inescapable pocket reality in Fromville? But then again, the extermination cycle of Fromville has begun several centuries ago spanning through several generations, so it is unlikely that Victor’s imagination had made up all this. Perhaps Victor knows more about the place which goes beyond survivor’s knowledge? Tabitha’s conversation with Victor’s father could reveal a lot of secrets, as seen in the trailer, where a version of a glass bottle tree can be seen at the back of the Kavanaugh household, which further indicates there is a strong possibility that Victor is connected with the origin of the place. Victor’s artworks, which were crucial in understanding the place as they provided hints about events, might provide answers after all, and Victor’s belongings stashed in his house might come in handy. Like Tabitha, Victor’s father is another victim who has lost his family to Fromville, and it is imperative that they work together to find a way to help their family escape.
