Episode five of Bad Cop ended with CIB officer Arif Khan and his team coming across a phone call, which everyone assumed was between Karan and Arjun. Arjun was sure his home was bugged, which was why they were able to track Kiki and chase her until she escaped following Arjun’s orders.

What did Arjun offer to Arif Khan?
Arif Khan followed the recording he heard and headed to the place mentioned in it in the hope of arresting Karan and Arjun. Arjun was at the spot, posing as Karan, waiting for them. Arif was confused about the turn of events. Arjun handed over the sketch of the killer to Arif in the hope of ridding himself of the charges put by CIB. Arif assumed it was Karan who was trying to save his brother and was not willing to trust him. Arjun conveyed that he knew of the bug planted by Arif, and he chose not to surrender the device to his superiors. He chose to make a bargain with Arif so that he could concentrate on finding out who killed Anand Mishra. Arif agreed to the deal and chose to back off and proceed with a sketch given to him.
Why was Devika angry?
Devika was angry because she was unaware of who got rid of the consignment inside the truck she had confiscated. She was asked to release it, but the lawyer and Raghav, on reaching out, found out all the items were gone. Devika was livid at the fact that this happened under her nose and wanted to get to the bottom to find out who stole Kazbe’s consignment and for what reasons.
Was Kazbe keeping Raghav away from his business?
Kazbe was scared about the things unfolding outside the prison and how things were going out of control. It was confirmed he had hired Bala to kill Anand Mishra, and many concerns connected to it were coming back to bite him in the back. He had to ask Raghav to stay away from the business, as he had promised his sister, who was Raghav’s mother, he’d make sure he was not sent to prison. Kazbe was now blindingly killing people who he believed had cheated him in regards to the illegal ivory consignment. Raghav felt helpless, but he had to listen to his uncle on how to move forward.
Was Arjun nervous during the anniversary dinner?
Kiki was restless because Arjun was not around to help her get out of the murky situation. Kiki was being chased by the CIB, and she expected Arjun, who was pretending to be a police officer, to help her out of it. He initially wanted to help her but he had to meet Karan’s daughter and Devika at home to celebrate their wedding anniversary. Devika was excited about the anniversary dinner and was elated to watch a brand-new husband who was behaving differently after the accident. Arjun was nervous as he wasn’t aware of the tiny details about Karan’s marriage, and it might expose his identity. Kiki followed him to the restaurant and threatened him to make his stance clear in this matter, as she was done running around the city without any help from Arjun.
Arjun felt stuck as Devika was inclined towards making love to him, but he was not sure how to keep her at a distance all the time. Arjun did not want to sleep with Devika since he was committed to Kiki, but he was not sure how he could stay away from her and at the same time find answers about his brother’s death.
What did Devika learn about the consignment?
A nervous Arjun was in the washroom, trying to find a solution to keep his distance from Devika. Devika, however, received a phone call from the station regarding who was responsible for the disappearance of the consignment from police custody. Devika was livid about learning Karan was responsible, and she confronted him. Devika believed Karan pulled this stunt to undermine her and make it look like he was acting under her orders.
Arjun came across as a supportive spouse when he revealed he wanted to be brave and wanted to get to the bottom of the case to find out what Kazbe and his team were up to. He claimed he’d never wanted to make Devika feel small in front of her team at the station. Arjun was the bravest of the ones who took this step, knowing it might backfire on him. Devika was gullible at this point, and she believed her husband’s words. Devika was initially under the impression her husband had changed, but this move made her distrust him all over again. Arjun’s justification may have changed her mind, but she would still want to watch actions over words to trust him.
What Did Arif Find In Anand Mishra’s Hard Drive?
Arif was not happy with the way the Anand Mishra case was proceeding. He was in possession of the sketch of the killer, which would mean he would have to drop the idea of arresting Arjun Naik. The hard drive possessed by Anand could not be cracked, which was making Arif impatient. Arif was losing his mind as he wanted justice for his best friend’s death. The hard drive was the only way to find out what research his friend was up to, which could lead him to some culprits and bring them in for cross-examination. The hard drive could be used as evidence in court. Arif cannot take the chance of triggering Karan further, as the man could complain about his home being bugged. He was walking on eggshells, and only a major breakthrough could help him.
Arjun, on the other hand, was in prison to meet Kazbe and he wanted more answers about his brother’s death now that he was aware of Bala’s involvement. Arjun was aware there was a connection between Kazbe and his brother, which might have been the reason he was killed by his men. He was shocked when Kazbe referred to him by name as Karan and was happy to have him visit him in prison. Kazbe may have been in cahoots with Karan, which was the reason he welcomed him with all smiles not realizing he had an identical twin brother.
Bad Cop episode 6 ended with CIB’s team cracking Anand Mishra’s hard drive, and Arif was in the room in no time to find out what it may contain. He was excited and nervous because the details on the hard drive would make or break his case. He had to ask his team to leave, worrying he might have a mole in his team who would leak the news. This was a smart move, as it would allow him to go through the details thoroughly and form a case accordingly. He was shocked to know Anand was covering the news about the illegal ivory trade.
Arif was further horrified to find out Karan, Rahil, their boss, and a state minister were involved in shielding Kazbe and helping him carry out the trade from the prison. This could be the reason Kazbe mistook Arjun for Karan and greeted him like a friend in prison. Arif was under the impression Karan could be misleading him by offering CIB the sketch, which would further complicate the matter. Now Arif believed Karan had to be arrested as he might have known who the killer was and tried to distract the police by offering a sketch of the wrong person. The next few episodes would determine Arjun’s fate from here on, as he might have to come clean about his real identity. It turns out Karan was the bigger criminal of the two, and Arjun couldn’t have seen it coming.
