What happened to Denzel?

In Goa, in a lavish luxury penthouse, lived an old couple named Benaifer and Denzel. They might have seemed like a sweet couple, but their life was a mess. Benaifer had lost her little girl many years ago and still hadn’t gotten over it. Her son Riad got married but then got divorced because Benaifer’s constant nagging and interference made their lives miserable. She even blamed her son’s wife, Shonali, for taking their daughter away from her son Riad and called her selfish, even though Benaifer was the reason they were never happy to begin with. Benaifer wasn’t just a nag; she was paranoid and often had hallucinations, as she thought everyone around her was her rival. She still hallucinated about her dead daughter and traumatized her husband and son with her cooked-up stories. They were fed up with her constant habit of blaming everyone for her situation but herself. She refused to take proper therapy because she thought she wasn’t crazy and that the people around her were. Because of this, Shonali didn’t allow their child to visit the house. She knew that the way Benaifer ended her and Riad’s relationship, she would take away their child too.

On the other hand, Denzel, an artist, started watching obscene videos online on his laptop. One day, he was caught in a live chat on an adult site by a girl he was video calling with. She demanded 10 lakhs from him and threatened to leak the video if he didn’t pay up. Denzel was scared and paid the money to an unknown person, but the messages demanding more money kept coming. Frustrated and irritated, one night he saw a woman named Tara, who was staying at Tony’s (their landlord’s) house, eyeing him while holding a phone. He thought she was the blackmailer and confronted her, but he had the wrong idea. The messages kept coming, and Denzel, frightened and depressed, committed suicide after smashing his laptop to delete evidence. But do you know who was actually sending those messages? It turned out that it was Shonali all along. She was tired of Benaifer ruining their lives and thought that by driving Denzel crazy, Benaifer would feel the same pain she had felt. Riad found out about this from the memory card of the laptop and decided to take Shonali out of their lives. He forced her to give up custody of their daughter because she didn’t deserve it. While his mother was clinically insane, Shonali was insane of her own will and had tried to ruin their lives.

What did Vinod do?

Vinod and Lalita didn’t seem like the type of couple that could afford to live in such a grand penthouse. Obviously, living in a penthouse required money, and they didn’t seem to have any based on how they lived and talked—they lacked that posh attitude. Even the people in the colony felt the same way. They blamed the landlord, Tony, for letting them stay in the penthouse, thinking they didn’t match the society’s standard. However, Tony didn’t care because, despite Vinod and Lalita not paying rent for ten months, he forgave them the money since he had been sleeping with Lalita behind everyone’s backs. Or so Tony thought. Remember the girl, Tara, who lived in Tony’s apartment? She discovered Tony and Lalita having an affair, recorded it on her phone, and blackmailed Tony for money. \

Tony naturally feared the consequences and knew asking Lalita for money wouldn’t solve the issue. Instead, he sought help from Vinod. Vinod was shocked to hear this because, as long as he could remember, he gave money to Lalita every month to pay the rent. Because even though Vinod worked as a waiter in Tony’s club, he and Lalita were also involved in drug dealing as a side hustle under Lalita’s brother, Bobo, and Vinod earned enough money to pay the rent. So he realized that instead of paying Tony off, Lalita was sleeping with Tony to shut him up. So the truth came out about her infidelity. Vinod felt betrayed by the person he trusted the most and was devastated. In an act of revenge, Vinod ran over Lalita’s lover, Tony, leaving him with two broken legs. Also, when Tony got to know that Bobo was hiding out in Farah’s apartment, he called the police to have him arrested, as Bobo was a wanted drug dealer. Vinod tried to hurt Lalita by targeting her loved ones, much like she had hurt him.

Why did Farah come to the penthouse?

When we first saw Farah in the series, she was this gorgeous air hostess who immediately became the heartthrob of all the men in the colony. But Farah didn’t care about any of that; she was focused only on Dr. Rishikesh, trying to lure him and get revenge. But why? Farah’s real name was Suhana, and she believed that her sister Sameera committed suicide because of Dr. Rishikesh. She was under the impression that Sameera and Dr. Rishikesh had had an affair, and when Dr. Rishikesh got her fired to hide this affair, she fell into depression and ended her life. But that wasn’t the truth. The real reason was that Sameera’s husband, Mohit, had had an affair and a child with another woman. That’s why Sameera took her own life. When Farah found out that Mohit was moving away with his new family to start a fresh life, she was heartbroken. To get revenge, she brought Mohit and Sameera’s child, Munmun, with her, so he couldn’t just leave his past behind. But when the police came to catch Bobo, the drug dealer tried to threaten Munmun with a knife if they gave him up to the police. Seeing that, Farah was scared to the core. When the police finally caught Bobo, Farah sighed with relief when she realized she could never forgive herself if something dreadful had happened. So, with best wishes, she let Mohit go and apologized to Dr. Rishikesh. Farah even gave Rishikesh a cake made by Benaifer, which Benaifer had made for her. Farah decided to put the past behind her and move on. Here’s 36 Days‘ ending part that might leave you disappointed. I know you want to know who killed Farah.

In 36 Days‘ ending, we find out that Farah was killed by Radhika, Rishikesh’s wife. You might think it’s because Radhika found out her husband was attracted to Farah and wanted revenge. But no, that’s not it. Remember when I told you that Benaifer has a tendency to hallucinate and blame everyone based on her imagined scenarios? When her husband died, she convinced herself that Farah was the reason behind Denzel’s death. After Farah came to their colony, one tragedy after another kept happening. So, Benaifer made a cake with poison in it to kill Farah and take revenge. But Farah didn’t eat the cake. Instead, she gave it to Rishi and his family as a token to apologize for her past mistakes. Tragically, Rishi’s daughter ate the cake and died. Radhika couldn’t bear it. She thought Farah still wanted revenge against Rishikesh and only pretended to forgive him for Sameera’s death. In a fit of rage, Radhika stabbed and killed Farah. So, the person who came to the penthouse intending to kill Rishikesh and his family ended up being killed by that very family instead. Maybe the police will arrest Radhika for the murder, but will they catch Benaifer, who was the real reason behind her daughter’s death? We hope Radhika gets to know the truth.
